British surveillance

The British government has passed emergency legislation to give police and spy agencies the power to collect mobile phone and internet data. Justifying the new bill, Prime Minister David Cameron said: The ability to access information about communications and intercept the communications of dangerous individuals is essential to fight the threat from criminals and terrorists targeting the UK.

Hi Zlatan,

Nice to meet you! My name's Pere and I'm fifteen. I live in Banyoles, a little town in Catalonia. I live with my parents, my brother Jordi and my dog. We live in a flat. It's got three bedrooms and a big terrace.

I go to school by motorbike every day. My favourite subjects are P:E and English. I don't know what I want to study when I leave school. I enjoy playing football. We're the seconds in the table in our league.

At the weekend I play football matches and I meet friends to. In my free time I watch football matches with my father.

Hi Joan,

We're having a freat holiday here in Sicilia. We're staying in a hotel near the beach.The hotel's got a very big swimming pool, a restaurant, a gym, etc. There are lots of things to do here. The people is not very friendly and there are lots of turists like us.

Last week we visited the volcano called Etna. It was a great experience but it was too cold! This island is very beautiful, and it has a fantastic weather, I think I will come here next year too.

Writing halloween:

Halloween is a yearly celebration in some countries. Typical festive Halloween activities include trick or treat, attending costume parties, decorating, pumpkings into jack-0'-lanterns, apple bobbing, visiting haunted house attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films.
Today's halloween customs were influenced by the Celtics.
The most famous symbols for Halloween are pumkins, witches, vampirees, zombies and skeletons. 
Candy apple also represents a traditional food from Halloween.
Trick or treat is a customary celebration for young people on Halloween. Children go in costume from house to house, asking for treats such as sweets or some other things, with the question, "Trick or treat?" The word "trick" refers to "threat" to perform mischief on the homeowners or their property if no treat is given.

Hi marta

Yesterday we'd been in a party in Girona and I met an interesting girl. Her name is Júlia. She's absolutely gorgeous, very cheerlful and of course pretty. I'm not sure how I feel about her. I need your advice. 

I met her at 2 o'clock, and i introduced her to have a drink there. Both of us were having a real laugh and then she introduced to me her friends. But then she ignored me and she went with her friends. But went I said goodbye to her she kissed me.

I've been thinking about things a lot since then. I'll probably see her later, but I'm not sure what to do. I don't know her very much. What do you reckon?

My last summer

Hi, as you know my name is Pere and I study in Casa Nostra school. Today I'm going to talk about my last summer.

In July I stayed in Banyoles. In the morning I got up at 9 o'clock to take the bus to go to Girona. There I had English classes in EICA. The classes were very long and boring. They started at 11:15 and finished at 2 o'clock. Then I had to run to the bus because it left Girona at 2:15. In the afternoons I met friends or went to the gym. At the weekends I got up early in the morning to did some swimming with a friend. 

In August, when my brother returned from England, we went with my family to Portugal, but first we did a stop in Badajoz,  Extremadura. We stayed ther for 3 days, we visited the Roman ruins in Merida, some interesting sites in Badajoz and another city of this comunitiy that is Caceres. Then we went for 4 days to Lisbon. Lisbon is not very different, I didn't notice the diference of being in another country, because there people understood you talking in Spanish. The place that I liked more was the stadium of Benfica called Da Luz. I visited this stadium because there Real Madrid won his 10 europe trophee. When I returned from Portugal I started the football training here in Banyoles. This was my last summer, thank you for your attention.


My classmates

Laia went to Sevilla and Ireland in July. She enjoyed a lot. Finally she went to Llançà.
Lidia went to her sister wedding. Then she went to California with YoungLife. Finally she went to a YoungLife Camp.
Alex went to Iceland in july. He did a lot of activities there. In August he went to l'Estartit.
Carlota went to l'Estartit. Then she went to Palamós with Andrea. When she came to Banyoles she did her school homework. 
Maria went to Mallorca in June. Then she went to Pirinees with her cousins. Finally she went to London.
Anna went to the USA. She enjoyed her host family. Then she went to Austria and Switzerland. Finally she stayed in Calella. 
Eva stayed in Banyoles in July. In August she travelled to Prague and Austria. Finally she went to Camprodon. 
Enric stayed in Banyoles in July. In August he went to Denmark and Hamburg, in the north of Germany.
